Studies & Reports 11 of 25
"This report seeks to provide an overview of the major factors influencing the creation, manufacture and distribution of music during the last 150 years or so, up to the present, and to speculate on what changes we might expect in the next 10 years. As of 2007, sales of pre-recorded music are steady declining, music distribution has shifted from conventional store-front (brick-and-mortar) retailers to on-line distribution (both "e-tailers" and royalty-free downloads). One consequence is that copyrights are being severely threatened."
