"Organizations actively planning for their futures stand a greater chance of achieving success than those which operate on a short term basis. During the fall and winter of 2002-03 the New Brunswick Arts Board successfully completed its first three-year strategic action plan and began work on the new three-year outlook set forth in this document.
This planning exercise enabled the Board to assess its results to date and to establish orientations and anticipated courses of action over the coming years. To assist the Board in this exercise, a facilitator set out a framework and a planning committee was established to oversee the process. All Board members remained actively involved in the development of this strategic plan; planning sessions held in October 2002 and January 2003 were followed up by further discussions and consultations during the winter months."
