"The term hub is synonymous with gateway or simply guide and at its most basic Artifact is an Internet Resource Catalogue (IRC) providing searchable access to a collection of high quality online resources and web sites. Each site has been chosen by subject specialists for its relevance to further and higher education teaching, learning and research in the arts and creative industries. Each site is then evaluated and catalogued by the Artifact cataloguers along with a description of the site and its key features.
Artifact is a free service. However some resources Artifact describes require a subscription and/or id and password in accordance with the Publisher or Content Provider’s subscription policy."
