"This study was undertaken to assist Art in the Public Interest in its ongoing efforts to support and strengthen the community arts field in the United States. To do this, we solicited a broad range of opinions and perspectives on the basic questions posed. The Findings section summarizes data received from the ten case studies. Its emphasis is on program characteristics, strategies and trends that could inform practice in the broader field of arts-based community development. It includes both summaries of consultant findings and direct quotes."
