Indigenous Knowledge Explored at First Observatory In Focus Speakers' Series Event March, 9, 2006
Indigenous Knowledge will be the first topic explored as the Observatory brings an interactive dimension to In Focus—Culturescope's bimonthly feature on pertinent cultural policy themes in Canada—by launching the Observatory In Focus Speakers' Series.

This new series, in partnership with the Knowledge Centre of the Department of Canadian Heritage, aims to foster dialogue, building on topics explored in recently published In Focus features.
On March 9, the first Speakers Series event will feature presentations by Yvonne Vizina and Racelle Kooy, authors of Indigenous Knowledge, the most recent In Focus feature on Culturescope.ca. They will elaborate on the benefits and challenges of developing policy concerning Indigenous Knowledge and engage session participants in the conversation. Anyone interested in learning more about this topic is invited to attend. The event will be held from 10:00 am to 11:30 am on March 9, 2006 in the Knowledge Centre, Department of Canadian Heritage, 15 Eddy, Gatineau.
