On November 3rd, 2006, the Assistant Deputy Minister for Public Affairs and Communications at the Department of Canadian Heritage, Nicole Bourget, officially unveiled the new look for Culturescope.ca: "The new sophisticated design makes this informative site a powerful tool. I encourage everyone to take a look."
The unveiling took place in the lobby of the Department's headquarters in Gatineau where an information kiosk was set up to allow employees to take an online tour of Culturescope.ca.
The re-design entailed an update to the site's colours and iconography, improved navigation and functionality and a refined topic-tree structure.
