"Created by the law of July 2, 1996, the "Fondation du Patrimoine" is a private independent non-profit organization, from which the vocation is to defend and to value a heritage in process of disappearance not protected by the State, the "heritage of proximity", which is a non classified or registered heritage. Our main objective consists in the promotion of the local memory and the economic development."

"The history of the Foundation is that of the will: to make assume by the private initiative a mission of general interest in the service of a national cause: the protection of the heritage of proximity. To achieve this mission, the internal structure of our Foundation always implied a wide decentralization to be really for the listening of institutions and persons working on the ground. It is indeed thanks to the dynamism of our national and local partners that the projects of renovation and promotion of sites can be achieved, and it is as well thanks to our members as we can collect financial means necessary for the realization of our ambitions."
