"Access Copyright, The Canadian Copyright Licensing Agency was established in 1988 to license public access to text and visual material from copyright works. The not-for-profit Agency represents a vast repertoire of four million works from over 19 countries around the world, along with that of over 5,500 Canadian writers, photographers and illustrators and 500 Canadian book, magazine and newspaper publishers. Access Copyright is governed by a board of directors comprised of nine creator representatives and nine publisher representatives. Directors are nominated by Access Copyright’s publisher and creator organization members."
