Domestic cultural policy-makers seek to understand the value (economic and social) of cultural goods and services.

Different interpretations and understandings of cultural goods and services are reflected in the way countries account for culture.

While cultural industries are gaining expertise in making economic arguments for the value they bring to society, there is a gap in non-economic indicators of the value of culture.

Find below a selection of economic data, as well as a selection of interesting facts and studies concerning culture and trade.
