Philippe DoréMember: National Gatherings
Chair of the National Gatherings on Indigenous Knowledge (NGIK) Advisory Group & Executive Director, Task Force on Aboriginal Languages and CultureMr. Philippe Doré joined the Department of Canadian Heritage in January 2003 as Director General of the Aboriginal Affairs Branch. He retired in 2004.
Previous to this, Mr. Doré spent three and a half years with the Privy Council Office (PCO) as Director of the Federal Interlocutor’s Office and Director, Strategic Policy. Prior to joining PCO, Mr. Doré spent seven years with the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs as Chief Federal Negotiator, South Slave Métis land and resources process and Senior Federal Negotiator for both the Kahnawake Self-government discussions and the Council for Yukon First Nations. Mr. Doré is currently the Chair of the National Gatherings on Indigenous Knowledge, and is the Executive Director of the Task Force on Aboriginal Languages and Cultures.
