The 2008 Recognition Luncheon for Graduate Student Achievements in the Faculty of Medicine took place May 1. This ceremony recognized some of the many awards received by the 250 graduate students in the faculty over the past year.
Ross Wiseman, minister of health and community services, made the following statement in the House of Assembly on May 1.
Memorial’s Faculty of Medicine is this year’s winner of the Rural Education Award from the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada (SRPC). This award is given annually to recognize a medical school which has excelled in producing graduates headed for a career in rural medicine.
