"Masks: the online journal of law and theatre invites proposals for a conference on the intersections of law and theatre to be held on the campus of the University of British Columbia June 17-19, 2008."

"The Masks Conference is an opportunity for scholars, practitioners and community members to jointly explore possibilities at the intersection of law and theatre. Topics may include any explorations of the intersection of law and theatre. Some possibilities include:

- courtroom drama through the ages
- legislative theatre and other theatrically based forms of participatory democracy
- applications of theatre tools to legal topics
- performance of law
- improvisation, sociodrama and Theatre of the Oppressed as tools of legal pedagogy
- lawyers in the theatre, television, film
- narrative in law and Playback
- the influence of theatre on law."
