"The Association for Canadian Studies and its partners will be holding the third annual symposium on Official Language Minorities in Canada at Concordia University in Montreal on February 28-29, 2008."

"The 2008 symposium will focus on the theme of “Youth and Official Language Minorities in Canada” Specific issues addressed will include:
(1) The demographic condition of official language minority communities with a focus o youth-based on the release of data from the 2006 census
(2) Identity issues amongst young members of official language minority communities
(3) The impact of migration and mobility amongst youth in official language minority communities
(4) The challenges of official language minority schools and their role in supporting the vitality of the communities
(5) The renewal of official language minority community leadership."
