Prev Studies & Reports 6 of 7 Next
"This report documents an intensive year-long programme of research which aimed to understand better the relative roles and abilities of animateurs and teachers and to explore the wider implications for training and professional development. It presents some important messages. They include these: that the skills and interests of artists and teachers are different though complementary; that these schemes are important ways of promoting diversity of achievement in students and of enriching the professional experience and networks of artists and teachers alike; and that if these schemes are to prosper as they must, we need to promote forms of evaluation that are sensitive to the nuances and complexities of this work, in an assessment environment that is driven too often and too far by statistics."
