"MAiLOUT covers a vast range of work across all artforms and across all the regions of the UK.
It became fully independent with the formation of the MAiLOUT Trust in December 1991, and has successfully operated in the independent sector since that time, on the basis of individual subscribers, bulk subscriptions from RAB's and other organisations, and project development grants from different sources.
MAiLOUT's job is to advocate the potential of creative activity.
Its contributors range from rank-and-file participants in creative projects through to the great and the good, and its design template is the work of the head of design at Boots the Chemist.
We have an unswerving commitment to the potency of creative activity, and consequently we want to ensure that our message is spread as widely as possible. We have a broad geographical spread of subscribers in England, with a fast-growing readership in Wales, Scotland and Ireland. We also have some subscribers outside the British Isles."
