"Whilst they are largely focused on the arts the specific value Co-operation Projects add is much broader. They:
- Encourage and stimulate debate and conversation - Foster inter-group, inter-ethnic and inter-cultural understanding - Address the emotional and psychological dimension of change - Harness creativity and imagination as a resource in development - Empower younger people - Network to connect those they support with others in similar fields in order to learn what works - Increase the advocacy and lobby potential of those they support - Develop alternative, independent structures - Explore the potential of the creative industries as an economic sector and image factor - Seek to discover the potential of new media through artistic innovation - Counteract the pull of capital and major cities - Create a more innovative climate in their places of operation"
