Information for Parents

What should you do if your child asks you about alcohol, tobacco, other drugs or gambling? How can you get through to your teenager? What can you do if your spouse has a substance use or gambling problem that is affecting your whole family?

These are the kinds of questions this section is designed to answer. Here you will find AADAC's popular Parent Information Series, tips and advice on how to help your children grow up free from addictions, facts and figures on substance use and gambling among Alberta youth, and a description of our full range of services for youth and families.

To find out more about AADAC's programs and services for parents, children and families, contact your local AADAC office or call the AADAC Help Line at 1-866-332-2322.
