Growing Forward forms the basis for federal, provincial and territorial governments to work toward a new agriculture policy framework.

Ministers of Agriculture from the Government of Canada, provinces and territories agreed in principle on Growing Forward on June 29, 2007. Ministers also agreed to Business Risk Management (BRM) programs that help deal with both production risks and financial risks.
