International Programs

The Justice Institute of British Columbia is dedicated to making communities safer places to live, locally, nationally and internationally. Using a global approach to the development of our local and international training programs, we delivered training to students in or from 10 countries in 2005/06. The exchange of ideas, the transfer of knowledge and the advancement of justice and public safety professions in the global marketplace benefit both our local and international clients.

Our students have come from a number of countries, including Singapore, China, the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Trinidad & Tobago, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and the United States. We support international visiting faculty, as well as the interest of Canadian faculty in studying abroad.

JIBC clients can access international education in several ways, including onsite training conducted at its campuses in British Columbia for visiting foreign students; contract training for Clients in overseas locations; and increasingly through our growing catalogue of online courses.

Our ISO (9001) certified, customized training is a platform for our national and international work. This certification provides Clients with the assurance that JIBC programs are developed within a framework of quality management that satisfies customer and regulatory requirements.
