if you use your credit card.
Payments made by cheque require that we receive your cheque before the order is shipped.

MAIL ORDER CUSTOMERS: Order by forwarding a written request with payment enclosed. Cheques and money orders should be made payable to Crown Publications. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are also accepted and can be used for mail, phone or fax orders. Include the card number and expiry date.

VICTORIA BOOKSTORE: All publications listed in this website, government publications and a comprehensive selection of books by BC Authors about BC (its history,people, nature, etc.) are available in our bookstore at 106 Ontario St. Victoria BC. We accept VISA, Mastercard and American Express. Bookstore hours are 8:30-5:00 Monday to Friday. Saturday 9:30-5:00.

BC PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OFFICES: Orders can be placed by faxing or mailing a Purchase Order on a Standing Offer (POSO) or using a Government Credit Card. The POSO must include the full name and address for shipping, and for invoicing if invoices are to be sent to a different location. Also include the name and phone number of a contact person. Orders may also be brought to our bookstore at 106 Ontario Street for immediate pick up.

BOOKSTORES: BC Bookstores will be invoiced - purchase orders may be mailed or faxed. Goods will be shipped with invoice enclosed. Bookstores outside BC must send payment with their orders. Bookstores within Canada qualify for a 40% discount on any discountable titles. Discountable titles are marked as such in the availabilty section of the publication.

GOVERNMENT AGENT OFFICE CUSTOMERS: Our catalogues and order forms are available at all Government Agent offices in BC. Customers wishing to pay by Visa, Mastercard or American Express can have their orders faxed to Crown Publications by their Government Agent. EDUCATIONAL DISCOUNT: BC Educational Institutions (schools, colleges & universities) qualify for a 10% discount on most items . A few items are Non-discountable. NOTE: in order to qualify orders MUST be submitted on an official purchase order form from the institution.

BC GOVERNMENT OFFICES and CROWN CORPORATIONS ordering 25 or more copies of a single act or regulation qualify for a special pricing structure which will automatically be applied to your order.
TAXES
GST (Goods & Services Tax): All of our products, including postage, shipping and courier fees, are subject to
5% GST (Note: Customers outside Canada do not pay GST).
PST (BC Provincial Sales Tax): Some of our products, such as maps, disks, annual reports and telephone directories, are subject to 7% PST. (Note: Customers outside BC do not pay PST).
CUSTOMER RETURN

Customer returns due to our error are accepted and corrected or fully refunded.

Publications returned through our mail order department are accepted within 14 days of goods being received. A 15% re-stocking fee will be assessed. Books must be returned in resalable condition.
Standing Order Customers: Your order has been printed as a special order and is therefore non-returnable.

Trade publications purchased in our bookstore can be returned within 14 days when accompanied by receipt. Books must be in resalable condition.

Books returned with defects will be replaced at no charge.

Out of date publications such as old consolidations of legislation and superseded editions of publications will not be accepted for refund or exchange. No extension for return of legislation.

A cancellation fee will be assessed when canceling subscriptions.
BOOKSTORE ACCOUNT RETURNS
Permission to return to stock must be requested in advance.

Publications will be accepted for return after 3 months and before 12 months. Books must be in resalable condition and be accompanied with a copy of the original invoice to receive a refund. A 15% re-restocking fee will be assessed on all returns. Books must be properly packed, and shipped prepaid. Shipments damaged in transit will be returned to you at your expense.

CLAIMS

Claims for short shipments and shipping errors must be made within 14 days of receipt of goods.

Claims for non-receipt of an order must be made within 2 months of placing your order.

Claims for non-receipt of single issues of subscriptions must be made within 2 months of expected receipt of that issue.
METHODS OF SHIPPING
Orders for BC Acts and Regulations and BC Government publications listed on this website will be shipped in Canada by parcel post at regular shipping charges. Shipping costs for publications are listed below.
If faster delivery than parcel post is required we will send orders by courier at your request and expense. For account customers, or those paying by Visa, Mastercard or American Express, the courier or mail costs can be added to your invoice or credit card charge.
For those sending prepayment you may call us for courier rates to your area for the material you are planning to order, or you may request that we send your parcel courier collect. If courier delivery is desired please indicate what kind of service is required: same day service, overnight, air, ground, etc. If you wish us to use a specific courier we will do so, otherwise we will choose the courier which will give the best service for the best price.
