Slate of services

Services Québec’s slate of services is composed primarily of services formerly offered by Communication-Québec. As agreements are signed with government departments and agencies, Services Québec will offer more and more services of the following three kinds:

General information
Services Québec informs citizens and businesses about government programs and services. Some of these services were already provided by Communication-Québec, and some were transferred to Services Québec by other government departments and agencies. For example, the Service québécois de changement d'adresse, a first-line transactional service, is now managed by Services Québec, as are the Citizens and Businesses sections of the Québec Portal.

Emergency communications
Services Québec is responsible for the coordination of government communications in the event of a local or national disaster. In emergency situations, Services Québec ensures rapid communication of accurate, coherent information adapted to the needs of the disaster victims, the population in general and the media. The information describes the current situation and the emergency measures taken or planned by the Québec government to protect individuals and property.

Government communications
Services Québec regularly collaborates in various province-wide or regional information campaigns on behalf of Québec; government departments and agencies. Thanks to its vast regional network, the agency helps maximize the effectiveness of government information campaigns.

In recent months, the discussions that have taken place have led to the inclusion of some Registraire des entreprises and Régie du bâtiment services to businesses. Other services for citizens and businesses will be added gradually to the roster.
