Anybody with an interest in an insurable crop grown in Alberta can participate whether they are the actual producer, tenant, or landlords. (Landlords who cash rent are not eligible.)

There is a program dollar coverage limit per acre based on the crop and whether it is grown on dryland or irrigated acres. The combined dollar coverage of all insured parties cannot exceed the program coverage limit.

Governments do not contribute to either administration expenses or premium cost.
