Steve Cardiff

Steve Cardiff was first elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly in the general election of November 4, 2002 and re-elected in the general election of October 10, 2006.
Mr. Cardiff is the NDP caucus critic for the Department of Community Services, the Department of Education, the Department of Highways and Public Works, the Department of Justice, the Yukon Workers' Compensation Health and Safety Board, the Yukon Housing Corporation and the Yukon Liquor Corporation. Mr. Cardiff will share critic responsibilities for the Department of Economic Development with Todd Hardy. Mr. Cardiff is also the Third Party House Leader.
A resident of the Yukon since 1976, Mr. Cardiff worked for 20 years as a certified sheet metal journeyman. He served 16 years as local president of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters.
Mr. Cardiff was a member of the Yukon College Board of Governors for nine years, including three years as Chair. He has also been an active volunteer with the Frostbite Music Society, Nlaye Ndasadaye Day Care and the Mount Lorne Community Association.
