Steve Nordick - Deputy Speaker

Steve Nordick was first elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly in the general election of October 10, 2006.  Mr. Nordick was elected Deputy Speaker on Thursday, November 23, 2006.

Mr. Nordick and his wife Tracy have owned the 5th Avenue Bed and Breakfast in Dawson City since 1999.  He is also currently the operations manager for MacKenzie Petroleum and Kluane Freight Lines in Dawson City.

Mr. Nordick first came to Dawson in the early 1990s to manage the community swimming pool.  Since then, he has had a long association with the tourism industry.  At the time of his election to the Yukon Legislative Assembly, Mr. Nordick was sitting on the Board of Directors of the Klondike Visitor's Association.  He has also previously been a director of the Dawson City Chamber of Commerce.
