Topic: Further consideration of Motion #13 - Review of implementation and potential impacts of a province-wide ban on the use of cosmetic lawn pesticides. The Committee will hear a presentation from the Canadian Consumer Specialty Products Association. Following the public portion of the meeting, the Committee will commence consideration of its report to the Legislative Assembly in camera.

Standing Committee on Community Affairs and Economic Development
Topic: The Committee will conduct public hearings on Sunday shopping to solicit the views of Islanders. The Committee will hold this meeting in Charlottetown (note- this meeting was orginally scheduled for January 30, but was postponed due to a power outage). Confirmed presenters include: Gary Currie; Alan Carmichael; CUPE PEI; Community Baptist Church; Joan Cumming; and the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce. Other presenters are still to be confirmed.

Topic: The Committee is continuing its review of the collapse of Polar Foods International Inc. The Hardy's Channel Fish Co-op will make a presentation to the Committee. An advertisement will appear in all Island newspapers on February 6th with the Committee's travel schedule.
