Kevin Mallon Makes His Debut With Symphony Nova Scotia

Distinguished violinist and conductor Kevin Mallon, who has worked as concertmaster for Les Arts Florissants and Le Concert Spirituel in Paris, for the first time leads Symphony Nova Scotia in Zelenka's lively and fresh Capriccio.
Soprano Shannon Mercer, described as having a "luminous" voice, sings a selection of music from Purcell.
Completing the afternoon, the orchestra plays Bach's Third Suite for Orchestra, best known for its famous second movement Air on the G string.
