Yes, your completed application and accompanying documents must be received no later than 14 school days after your classes start, otherwise, your application will only be approved from the date we received your completed application.

All applications are assessed on a first-come, first-serve basis, so the earlier you get your application in, the earlier your money will reach the institution. Training Allowances are paid every two weeks.
For students attending Ayamdigut Campus you can pick your cheques up at the bookstore. If you are attending a community campus, your cheques will be mailed to the campus.
A student may receive assistant for the Student Training Allowance and Yukon Grant combined for up to a maximum of five years.
Yes, the Allowance is considered income, therefore, the Federal Government requires you to claim the amount received. Please keep Yukon College informed of your current mailing address for T4A forms. For information on education deductions for income tax purposes, please contact Revenue Canada.
If you have been overpaid, for any reason, you must pay back that portion of the Training Allowance, otherwise, no repayment is required.
