Trends and Forecasts

Page Last Updated February 1, 2008

The Economics and Statistics unit of Alberta Finance maps economic trends and provides economic forecasts for use by government and others.

The Current Economic Indicators by Province document contains statistics on employment, retail sales, housing starts, manufacturing shipments, population, CPI inflation, business investment, salary and wages, and GDP.

See the above-right menu to view economic information, including the weekly Economic Review, which contains current economic commentary and statistics. Both the Economic Review and Current Economic Indicators by Province documents are updated weekly, usually by Friday afternoon.
