Try something new with BC VQA wines. At BC Liquor Stores, we offer one of the best selections of VQA wines. Look for the following on display in participating BC Liquor Stores from January 29 to February 24.
This is a really full-bodied and big wine made for this time of year. Full of fruit, it has a long finish and some tannin. Decant and serve with comfort fare such as stews or vegetarian ratatouille.
Mission Hill is well known for its Pinot Grigio. This one is fresh, lively and quite juicy with hints of apple and plum. It’s a great wine to sip anytime, with sushi or some fresh seafood.
One of the top-selling wines in the BC VQA category! This one is flavourful and showcases red and black fruits, oak complexities and spice and vanilla notes. Full-bodied, yet with some balanced tannins to accompany heartier fare such as roast meats and lamb dishes.
Ripe fruit, oak complexities and some butterscotch notes, this full-bodied wine is great with cream-sauced pasta, roast poultry or baked salmon.
Good value – make it your house wine for February! This easy drinking red blend has lots of plum fruit. It's excellent for sipping or enjoy it with pizza, hamburgers or red-sauced pastas.
Easy going with hints of apple and citrus notes, this medium-bodied wine is juicy, with a long finish and bursts of orange zest. Perfect with Asian stir fry, shellfish or pastas.
