You can consult an enterprise's file in the enterprise register. Use the Québec enterprise number (NEQ), the exact name, or key words to do a search.
2. Search the Enterprise Central Database (FCE)
You can consult an enterprise's file in the FCE (registry archived since 1994). Use the file number, the exact name, or key words to do a search.
3. Search the Database of Public Authorities
You can consult a public institution's record in the file of public authorities. Use the file number, the exact name, or key words to do a search.
4. Request a list of enterprises (compilation of information)
A compilation of information is a list of enterprises extracted from the enterprise register for a fee on the basis of criteria you select.
5. Name Research Report or name reservation
A Name Research Report is a list of names drawn from the enterprise register based on the name you plan to use for your company or non-profit corporation.
The sole purpose of a name reservation is to prevent the enterprise registrar from accepting a name identical to the name you want to use, for another business or non-profit corporation that is incorporating or changing its name. Note that a name reservation includes a Name Research Report.
