Farming and Fishing Industries Act:
This purpose of this Act is to enable producers of commodities of the farming and fishing industries to collect levies approved by the Lieutenant Governor in Council. The Minister establishes a council to administer the levy fund and apply those funds to promote and benefit their industries. The Act is administered by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries (as it relates to fish or aquatic plants).

Insurance for Crops Act
Crop insurance provides disaster insurance to farmers in the event of weather-related perils (drought, freeze, hail etc.) which significantly reduce crop quality or production.

Soil Conservation Act
This Act is intended to protect soil on land in an agricultural land reserve by regulating its removal and the placement of fill. The process requires the Provincial Agricultural Land Commission give written approval and the local authority must issue a permit.

Weed Control Act
This Act places responsibility for control of noxious weeds upon occupiers of land. It provides for appointment of inspectors to ensure compliance and, failing that, for a method by which they can control weeds with costs recovered from the occupier. Weed Control Committees may be established by municipal councils to administer the Act within a municipality. A committee reports to the municipal council and the Minister.
