The following is meant solely to help the reader understand the main features of primary regulations governing this activity, and not meant in any way to provide a legal interpretation.

Workers Compensation Act - OHS Regulation:

The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulation contains legal requirements that must be met by all workplaces under the inspection jurisdiction of WorkSafeBC.

In addition to requiring employers to register with Worksafe BC and pay insurance premiums, Worksafe BC is legislated to set workplace standards for all industries in the province of BC.

Due to the nature of the Manufacturing indusry, Worksafe BC has developed a webpage that is dedicated to manufacturing. This website outlines the workplace standards and injury prevention resources for different types of manufacturing and may be accessed at http://www2.worksafebc.com/Portals/Manufacturing/Home.asp
