Pharmacists, Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act:

The College of Pharmacists of British Columbia is the regulatory body established to govern both the practice of the profession of pharmacy and the operation of pharmacy businesses. The College is established under the Pharmacists, Pharmacy Operations and Drug Scheduling Act. Pharmacists must be registered with The College in order to practice pharmacy in the province of BC.

The College, and the pharmacy profession is also subject to Federal Laws and Regulations under:
- the Food & Drugs Act and Regulations;
- the Narcotic control regulations (Dept of Justice);
- the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
- and the Benzodiazepines and Other Targeted Substances Regulations.
