GOVERNMENT CAUCUS TO TAKE 5% MLA-WAGE ROLLBACK

VICTORIA — The government caucus has initiated a three-year-long wage rollback and freeze of five per cent for all government MLAs, Premier Gordon Campbell announced today.

PREMIER TO PROMOTE B.C. AT WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM

The premier was invited to serve as a panellist for one of the forum's workshops, Bolstering Competitiveness Strategies in Advanced Economies. He also served as rapporteur at the forum's East Asia Economic Summit in Hong Kong in October 2001.

STUDY PROJECTS ECONOMIC BENEFITS OF 2010 GAMES BID

FORT ST. JOHN — A winning bid for Vancouver/Whistler to host the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games, combined with an expanded convention centre in Vancouver, could generate $5.7 billion to $10 billion in direct economic activity, a study by the Ministry of Competition, Science and Enterprise indicates.
