DISCUSSIONS SEEK TO RESOLVE TREATY 8 ISSUES

FORT ST. JOHN — Exploratory discussions underway to address outstanding Treaty 8 issues are a positive step toward achieving certainty of land use in northeastern B.C., Premier Gordon Campbell and the Chiefs of the Treaty 8 First Nations said today.

112 BRITISH COLUMBIANS AWARDED QUEEN'S JUBILEE MEDALS
Lt.-Gov. Iona Campagnolo and Premier Gordon Campbell with Beverly Nann of Burnaby during a ceremony Feb. 25, 2003, in which 112 outstanding British Columbians were presented with the Queen's Golden Jubilee commemorative medal at Government House in Victoria. Nann, a Chinese Canadian, has devoted her life to promoting understanding and mutual respect among ethno-cultural communities. She helped pioneer, develop and manage organizations dedicated to easing the way for immigrants.

VICTORIA — The Commemorative Medal for the Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was awarded today to 112 outstanding British Columbians by Lt.-Gov. Iona Campagnolo and Premier Gordon Campbell during a ceremony at Government House.

RAILS TO TRAILS PILOT TO BOOST TOURISM IN HEARTLANDS
