STRONG B.C. CONTINGENT TO REPRESENT CANADA IN ATHENS

VANCOUVER — British Columbia is sending over 200 athletes, coaches and officials to the 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games in Athens as part of Team Canada. Athletes who are from, or train, in B.C. will make up 39 per cent of the Canadian Olympic Team and 24 per cent of the Canadian Paralympic Team.

1,700 NEW SPACES TO BENEFIT FRASER VALLEY STUDENTS

CHILLIWACK — The province is adding 1,700 new student spaces by 2010 at the University College of the Fraser Valley, and has granted approval-in-principle for planning to begin for the relocation of UCFV's Chilliwack campus to the CFB-Chilliwack site, Premier Campbell announced today.

B.C.-YUKON PARTNERSHIP TO ENHANCE SERVICES AND JOBS

VANCOUVER — The Premiers of British Columbia and Yukon have signed an agreement to work together on natural resources, environmental protection and health care, B.C. Premier Gordon Campbell and Yukon Premier Dennis Fentie said today.
