B.C. AND ALBERTA COLLEGES ADDRESS SKILLS SHORTAGE
VANCOUVER — A shortage of skilled workers in British Columbia and Alberta has community colleges and technical institutes in both provinces joining forces to strengthen post-secondary education, announced Premier Gordon Campbell today.

AGREEMENT REACHED TO SETTLE FOUR-DECADE OLD FLOODING IMPACTS
VICTORIA — The Province of British Columbia and BC Hydro have reached Agreements in Principle (AIP) with the Tsay Keh Dene Band and the Kwadacha Nation that will address the impacts of flooding from the Williston Reservoir on these First Nations in the Peace River Valley region, announced Premier Gordon Campbell today.

PROVINCE REACHES LANDMARK FINAL AGREEMENT WITH MAA-NULTH FIRST NATIONS
VICTORIA — Premier Gordon Campbell, the Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development and Federal Interlocutor for Métis and Non-Status Indians, and five Chiefs representing the Maa-nulth First Nations on Vancouver Island witnessed the joint initialling of the third Final Agreement reached under the British Columbia treaty process today.

FINAL AGREEMENT INITIALLED WITH TSAWWASSEN FIRST NATION
TSAWWASSEN — Premier Gordon Campbell, the Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development and Federal Interlocutor for Métis and Non-Status Indians, and Tsawwassen First Nation Chief Kim Baird today witnessed the joint initialling of the first Lower Mainland Final Agreement reached under the British Columbia treaty process.

DAY OF REMEMBRANCE
Premier Gordon Campbell took part in the Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women ceremony at the B.C. Legislature on December 6th, 2006. The event remembers the victims of the Montreal massacre and honours all women affected by violence.
