FREE VISION TESTING FOR ALL B.C. KINDERGARTEN CHILDREN
Premier Gordon Campbell announces that all Kindergarten children in B.C. will receive free basic vision testing by the end of this school year. January 31, 2008.

NEW BIOENERGY STRATEGY ADVANCES INNOVATION
Premier Gordon Campbell was joined by Minister of Forests and Range Rich Coleman, Minister of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources Richard Neufeld and Agriculture and Lands Minister Pat Bell to announce B.C.'s new bioenergy strategy.

VANCOUVER – The BC Bioenergy Strategy will create new opportunities for rural communities; spur new investment and innovation; and help British Columbia reach the goal of becoming electricity self-sufficient by 2016, Premier Gordon Campbell announced.

B.C. TO FUND WORLD-LEADING CLIMATE RESEARCH

CANADA'S FIRST ENHANCED DRIVER'S LICENCE LAUNCHED IN B.C.
Premier Gordon Campbell joined federal Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day and Minister of State for Intergovernmental Relations John van Dongen to launch Canada's first enhanced driver's licences as an alternative to passports to enter the United States at land and water borders. January 21, 2008.

VANCOUVER – Canada’s first enhanced driver’s licences (EDLs) will be available in British Columbia for use by eligible B.C. residents driving to the United States, Premier Gordon Campbell and Public Safety Minister Stockwell Day announced today.

ROOF COMPLETION MARKS MAJOR MILESTONE FOR RICHMOND OVAL
Premier Gordon Campbell celebrates a construction milestone for a major Olympic venue as the final section of the Richmond Oval's massive 6.5-acre roof is lifted into place. The pine beetle-wood roof on the oval was made in B.C. and is the only one of its kind in the world. January 15, 2008.
