If a worker is hurt, the employer must inform Yukon Workers' Compensation Health and Safety Board immediately if the injury or incident is serious (if an ambulance was callec, it's serious enough to qualify).
For other workplace injuries where a worker sought medical attention and/or lost time, the employer must file a report with YWCHSB within 3 days.
Fast reporting is crucial to be able to manage the injury properly. Therefore, employers can be fined for failing to report an injury on time.
