School-aged children in BC are playing a colourful role in sending their own alcohol awareness message through the BC Liquor Stores bag-decorating program.
To participate, teachers or community organizers simply request BC Liquor Stores paper bags from the Think of Me coordinator (Marketing department). Participants then decorate bags with alcohol awareness messages or illustrations/drawings of themselves and the bags are returned for use at a local BC Liquor Store.
1. | How do I get started?
Download the form below, or call the Think of Me coordinator with information about the program you would like to coordinate and the approximate number of students involved.
You will be provided with guidelines and a letter of approval. A letter will be sent to the local liquor store manager, advising them of your request and how many bags will be required.
Once you have received the letter of approval, please call the liquor store manager in advance to arrange pickup of the bags and remember to take a copy of your approval letter with you.
Next the bags are distributed to students and/or teachers with the guidelines for decorating.

2. | How do I get the bags distributed?
Once the bags are decorated, the teacher/coordinator should review the bags for appropriateness and recycle those that do not meet the guidelines.
Once reviewed, return the decorated bags to the liquor store where you originally picked them up. The bags will be reviewed for suitability, and if approved will be distributed to customers with their purchases.
For a copy of program guidelines please download the form below, or call the Think of Me coordinator at 604-252-3199.
