experiences to young people both as actors and audience.  | Our new production is  Join Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, the Whos and many more well-loved characters for an exciting voyage of discovery into the magical world of Dr. Seuss in Unicorn Theatre’s latest musical production, “Seussical, Jr.”, which is based on several Dr. Seuss stories, including “Horton Hears a Who”, “The Cat in the Hat”, and “Horton Hatches an Egg”. The Cat in the Hat is your guide to the Seussian world as he tells the story of Horton the Elephant, who hears a cry for help from a speck of dust that turns out to be the home world of a race of tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from danger, and he must also guard an egg that has been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie LaBird. His helper in all of this is the faithful Gertrude LeFuzz, who fears that Horton will never notice her because she has only a one-feather tail. She asks the doctor to prescribe some tail-enhancing pills, which she takes – with disastrous consequences. “Seussical, Jr.”, as performed by the enthusiastic and talented young cast, is a fast-paced, colourful musical extravaganza that is so much fun for both the audience and the actors.
