The Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women Library and Information Services serves the Advisory Council staff, the Council members, provincial and federal government personnel, educators, students and the general public.

The Library collects information resources to support the Advisory Council’s mandate. Our collection covers many issues such as violence, law, health, employment, and poverty. We have materials relating to specialized populations of women such as young women, black, native, immigrant and women with disabilities.

We also maintain newspaper clippings classified into about 60 major subject headings, and a collection of newsletters and journals from women's organizations.

The library maintains a specialized collection of women’s issues in print publications, journals, government documents, and media resources such as audio cassettes, VHS, and DVDs.
