Special Orders

Looking for that particular beverage alcohol product not carried in our stores?

Have you tasted a product at a tasting, restaurant or outside of the province? There are many products not carried on BC Liquor Store shelves but that doesn't mean you can't order it for yourself. Try our Special Orders service available only to British Columbia residents. Special Orders will help you source the product and import it on your behalf.

As importer of record for the province of British Columbia, we can order and import a product on your behalf through our Special Orders Program.

Here's how it works:

Step 1.

Obtain the Special Order Request for Price Quotation form available at any BC Liquor Store, by calling the Special Orders Division at the Liquor Distribution Branch head office at 604-252-3189 or by downloading the form in PDF format below.

The Special Orders Request for Price Quotation form includes information that will help you in filling out the form.

Step 2.

Complete the form with as much information as possible. The more information you have (about the product), the quicker it can be processed.

Step 3.

Submit the form by mail or fax to the Special Orders Division.

Mail:

Special Orders Division
B.C. Liquor Distribution Branch
2625 Rupert Street
Vancouver, B.C.
V5M 3T5
Fax: (604) 252-3236

Alternatively, you can hand in the form to any BC Liquor Store.

Step 4.

Special Orders will contact a supplier for product availability and pricing information. If the product is available, all applicable costs (e.g., freight charges, duties, taxes, markup) will be calculated. An estimated retail price will be determined by Special Orders.

Step 5.

The form, complete with estimated retail price, will be sent back to you (mailed or faxed) for your review and approval to proceed with the order. A 50% deposit is required prior to processing the order.

Important notes

 1. Due to the cost of importing liquor products, minimum order quantities may be imposed by the supplier. The LDB's minimum order requirement is one case.
 2. The price quotation process may take 4-6 weeks for completion.
 3. Product delivery time varies and is dependent on supplier location. Delivery may be anywhere from 4-8 weeks if purchased from a Canadian supplier or up to 8 months for orders sent to suppliers outside of Canada.
 4. The BC Liquor Stores Special Orders program is only available for BC residents.
