These workers operate more than 34,000 businesses in the sector of Québec tourism. It is estimated that, on average, 27.5 million tourists visit the province each year. In 2003, 76 % of the visitors were from Québec, 13 % from Canada, 8 % from the United States and 3 % from other countries. These tourists spend approximately 6.7 billion dollars annually, participating in the various activities in the tourist industry.
