Welcome to the official site of the government of Québec on pandemic influenza. There is currently no influenza pandemic in Québec, in Canada, or elsewhere in the world. However, the possibility of such a pandemic occurring can not be excluded. It is thus reasonable for the government of Québec to address itself to this concern and keep you informed.
The site has three objectives:
Explain the nature of an influenza pandemic and its main consequences in order to prepare ourselves adequately.
Provide information on the means of avoiding contamination through simple good habits and basic hygiene measures at home, at school, at work, and in all public places.
Make known government recommendations and measures taken to respond to the situation, both in the area of health and in the concrete daily life of people and organizations.
