The Nova Scotia Provincial Library negotiates and administers access to commercial
on-line databases on behalf of a consortium of libraries. Consortium members include public libraries
in NS and PEI, the Nova Scotia Community College and some NS government libraries. For a description of

The Nova Scotia Provincial Library provides a back-up reference service
to Nova Scotia's libraries. This service assists libraries that cannot answer users' questions with
their own resources.
The Provincial Library does not serve members of the public directly but provides information to
all Nova Scotians through their local library.
