With increased globalization and international opportunities for research, the process of identifying potential sources of funding can be a time consuming exercise. The Funding Guide for International Science and Technology Cooperation aims to serve as a resource for Canadian researchers and scientists. The mission of the guide is to encourage, facilitate, and promote basic and applied research.
Canadian research institutes, universities and firms.
Collaborative research projects; support for visits (from a few weeks up to one year); funding for workshops, seminars, and conferences; and travel support.
The guide is divided into three sections.
These grants and bursaries can be accessed directly by research scientists and those which can be accessed indirectly i.e. as partners of industry or university applicants. It contains programs which provide support for the following activities:
These post-doctoral fellowships can be undertaken either in Canada or in a foreign organization.
These are international prizes for which Canadian researchers may apply.
