NRC Biotechnology Research Institute (NRC-BRI) is the largest research facility devoted to biotechnology in Canada. Through its Health, Bioprocess and Environment sectors, the Institute promotes, assists and conducts leading-edge R&D collaborations, services and technology transfers with the biotechnology industry. The Institute is strategically located in Montréal, one of the major biotechnology clusters in North America.

Eligibility Criteria

NRC-BRI partners with Canadian and international biotechnology, pharmaceutical and environmental companies, universities and other governmental institutions. Under collaborative agreements, NRC-BRI can also share the costs and risks of R&D projects with Canadian companies and organizations.

In the field of life sciences, the expertise of the multidisciplinary research teams from the Health and Bioprocess sectors forms a continuum that includes drug discovery, bioprocess development and scale-up. Finally, the NRC-BRI's Industrial Partnership Facility (IPF) is a scientific complex providing turnkey laboratory space and unique services to companies involved in biotechnology R&D.
