Summary

The Customs Act governs the administration and enforcement of customs laws. Part II of the Customs Act specifies the requirements for the transportation of imported goods. Every person who transports goods that have been imported but not released is subject to conditions, bonds or other security.

The Transportation of Goods Regulations specify the conditions under which goods may be transported and liability of the transporter for duties, security and records.
