This program is administered by Victim Services and Community Programs Division, Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General and replaces the Criminal Injury Compensation Program administered by the Worker's Compensation Board.

The Crime Victim Assistance Program provides assistance to victims of violent crime to aid in their recovery and ongoing security, so that they may participate fully and safely in their communities.
